چکیده

Bambusa balcooa Roxb. was in vitro propagated by optimizing protocol using nodal segment from secondary branches with 100% success MS liquid media containing 100 mg/l Myo-inositol, 3% sucrose supplement 4.4 - 26.64 ?M BAP for shoot multiplication, and 2.69 32.26 NAA root induction. The highest multiplication (14.53 ± 0.33 folds), length (5.9 0.6 cm), number per explants (4.0 0.24), rooting (89.3 0.33%) obtained 13.32 (shooting) 26.88 (rooting) 1% aqueous leaf extract of Artemisia vulgaris L. (EAV). Twenty RAPD (Random amplified Polymorphic DNA) primers were used individually to amplify DNA tissue culture-raised plants the mother plant where 8 yielded monomorphic banding patterns reproducible, clear, scorable bands (2.8 primer) ranging 250 1800 bp respectively which revealed micropropagated B. retained their genetic stability.

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Micropropagation and assessment of genetic fidelity of Dendrocalamus strictus (Roxb.) nees using RAPD and ISSR markers

Dendrocalamus strictus popularly known as 'Male bamboo' is a multipurpose bamboo which is extensively utilized in pharmaceutical, paper, agricultural and other industrial implements. In this study, in vitro regeneration of D. strictus through nodal culture has been attempted. Murashige and Skoog's medium supplemented with 4 mg/l BAP was found to be most effective in shoot regeneration with 3.68...

Genetic Stability of Micropropagated Plantlets in Date Palm

Randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers were used to analyze genetic stability of the somatic embryogenesis-derived regenerants (R1-6) and mother plant in Iranian date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) cultivar Khanizi. Total genomic DNA extracted from in vitro fresh leaves of regenerated plants and mother plant was amplified using 10-mer oligonucleotide Fermantas primers. Four primers of...

Analysis of toxic, antidiabetic and antioxidant potential of Bambusa balcooa Roxb. leaf extracts in alloxan-induced diabetic rats

Bambusa balcooa (Poaceae) is native to India and has been used traditionally by the tribes of Northeast India to treat diabetes. The present investigation was aimed to evaluate the toxicity, anti-diabetic activity along with in vitro antioxidant activity of the leaf of B. balcooa in alloxan-induced diabetic rats and also identify active compounds by using HPLC. The acute toxicity test of aqueou...
